Would you like to chat
with one or more LLL Founders; listen to compelling speakers; and
shop around the world in three hours or less? If you answered “Yes!”
to any of these questions, plan to attend LLLI’s Conference,
Breastfeeding: An Ancient Art—A Modern Miracle, July 2-5, 2005,
at the Hilton Washington and Towers, in Washington DC, USA.
La Leche League International’s
Conference team is busy planning compelling pre-Conference Workshops,
an opening night complete with a Parade of Nations and a sensational
speaker, and three full days of informative and motivating presentations
culminating with a gala closing event complete with dinner.
A new Conference feature
will be a Founder’s Parlor, which will be hosted by one or more
Founders. In a casual atmosphere, Conference attendees will be able
to talk with a Founder and find out firsthand how these remarkable
women were able to rediscover the ancient art of breastfeeding. The
Conference is the only LLLI event that includes all seven Founders.
They will also participate in the Afternoon Tea, an intimate event
that includes a presentation by the Founders along with a light supper.
Another new feature at
the Conference will be a Latino room. It’s guaranteed to be
a lively place to meet with attendees from around the world to find
out how the modern miracle of breastfeeding is being discovered in
Hispanic countries.
Whether you are a first
time mother or an experienced member of La Leche League, attending
the Conference will give you the memorable experience of being surrounded
by so many others who also believe that breastfeeding is a modern
miracle.
