The fatty acids in human milk are a "concerto" reflecting the quality of fat intake, the synthesis of carbohydrate-rich diets and individual genetic disposition towards use, storage and synthesizing specific fatty acids. Each breastfed infant has a unique fat intake, both quantitatively and qualitatively differing in time of lactation, maternal diet, mothers’ genetic inheritance, culture and country. This is one of the best examples of the non-reproducibility of human milk. The perfect formula already exists: Human Milk. The holy grails of both industry and child public health will be realized when all babies are fed by their mothers on the breast.
