A professional Breastfeeding Resource Center Membership
is designed to help you provide high quality breastfeeding
materials to your prenatal and postnatal clients.
Current members include physicians, nurses, lactation
consultants, dietitians, and childbirth educators. Public
health offices, HMO's, hospitals, WIC clinics,
breastfeeding support groups, and community
information centers also benefit from BRC memberships.

WHAT IS... LA LECHE LEAGUE INTERNATIONAL (LLLI)?
LLLI is a nonprofit organization
founded in 1956 by seven women who wanted to help other mothers
breastfeed their babies. The organization has grown into a worldwide
network that currently reaches 300,000 people in 63 countries every
month with breastfeeding information and education. Mother-to-mother
support group meetings are available in many locations for pregnant
and nursing mothers and babies. Educational programs are offered for
health professionals. An extensive line of products for professionals
and parents is available in our catalogue. LLLI publishes more than
25 books on breastfeeding and parenting as well as a variety of pamphlets
and tear-off sheets.
the LLLI mission is to
help mothers worldwide to breastfeed through mother-to-mother support,
education,
information, and encouragement and to promote a better understanding
of breastfeeding as an important element in the healthy development
of the mother and baby.
