It is with great pleasure that La Leche League of __(Your Town)__ invites you, your staff, and clients, to attend (Your Town's) 1998 World Walk for Breastfeeding. This event will take place __(Date)___ at __(Place)___, beginning with a symbolic one mile walk at _(Time)_.
In addition to celebrating breastfeeding promotion efforts around the world and bringing public attention to the health and ecological importance of breast milk, we also wish to pay special recognition to all the dedicated and tireless breastfeeding advocates in our community. For years now, the staff of __(Organization)__ in __(Your Town)__ has played an extremely unique and valuable role in the promotion of breastfeeding in our community.
We would be privileged to have you join us at our exhibit tables, which we will have at the ________ site. Please feel free to bring breastfeeding buttons, literature, posters, and any other materials which you feel would be of educational and informative value to the public. Since we are not allowed to sell anything, all items should be free to anyone who requests them.
Participation in the Walk is free and open to anyone who wishes to come and celebrate with us. Nursing mothers with their babies and toddlers in slings or strollers are specially welcome to come and walk with us.
Because this is also a fundraising event, walkers also have the option of competing as individuals or teams for some great prizes. All walkers will be eligible for special door prizes. I am enclosing for you copies of the walker's Pledge Form and Sponsor Information for your use, if you wish to participate in the fundraising effort as well. The Pledge forms must be completed and funds collected by the start of the Walk.
