World Walk for Breastfeeding

Dear Health Professional:
On behalf of La Leche League of {INSERT GROUP HERE} we would like to thank you for your past cooperation in displaying our meeting notices where mothers are likely to see them. Enclosed is our new poster. We would greatly appreciate your assistance in displaying it in a location where mothers who may need our assistance or would like to learn more about breastfeeding are likely to see it. If you need additional copies for your office, please call one of us.
As you may be aware, La Leche League is a not-for-profit volunteer organization founded to give information and encouragement, mainly through personal help, to all mothers who want to breastfeed their babies. While complementing the care of the physician and other health care professionals, it recognizes the unique importance of one mother helping another to perceive the needs of her child and to learn the best means of fulfilling those needs.
Mothers who turn to La Leche League of {YOUR GROUP HERE} for support and or assistance in breastfeeding have access to Leaders trained in breastfeeding support; an extensive lending library covering various parenting topics; and La Leche League International's network of parents, health professionals and researchers who have been providing information and support to breastfeeding families for over 40 years.
La Leche League of {GROUP NAME} will be joining with {OTHER GROUPS} to celebrate the World Walk for Breastfeeding. We will be {DESCRIPTION OF PICNIC OR WHATEVER} on Saturday, August X. If you or anyone from your staff would like to join us in showing support for breastfeeding mothers and babies throughout the world, please feel free. We are also collecting pledges and donations from anyone who would like to contribute financially to La Leche League's efforts. X% of the monies collected with stay remain with {OUR GROUP} to support our local lending library and continuing education for Leaders. The remainder {we explained the breakdown here} will be sent to {AREA} and La Leche League International to support larger programs.
If you would like further information about La Leche League or would like to know about other materials we have available for use in your work with mothers and their babies, please do not hesitate to call on us yourself.
